Set among the granite outcrops and vineyards of Queensland’s Granite Belt, Varias is a place shaped by both nature and craft.


What began as the Queensland College of Wine Tourism has evolved into a multi-pillar precinct that brings together food, wine, training, and community under one name. An intersection of hospitality, learning, community and industry.


From the vineyard to the kitchen, from the classroom to the cellar, Varias is where every element of the Granite Belt’s story comes together. It celebrates the region’s producers, makers, and educators, all connected through the landscape, the community, and the pursuit of distinction.

THE STORY OF THE GRANITE BELT

The Granite Belt is one of Queensland’s most distinctive regions, defined by its cool climate, fertile soils, and the striking granite formations that give it both its name and its character.


Over time, it has become recognised as Queensland’s wine country, home to a growing community of vineyards, producers, and culinary experiences that showcase the strength, creativity, and spirit of the people who live here.

The Land

Varias carries forward the spirit of QCWT, shaping future industry leaders while offering new experiences for locals and visitors to enjoy.</p>
The Harvest: From the Growers to the Makers
